A birthday gift with nowhere to plug in
Our founder wanted to give her grandmother a recording of the grandkids singing "Happy Birthday" — something Grandma could play without a phone, an app, or anyone's help. Nothing on the market did that simply. So we built the box that would.
The first prototype was a single disc taped to a speaker. The version we ship today still follows the same rule that prototype set: if it needs a manual, it's too complicated.
